Gold, silver and rose gold finishes

These exclusive metallic finishings create a sophisticated, shimmering 3D effect on the front of your Cards or the cover of hardcover Photo Books. All text boxes and clipart are enhanced with a high-quality metallic look, a subtle gloss, and a raised feel you can touch.

Glossy Spot Coating

Glossy spot coating is a transparent, high-gloss varnish that highlights selected design elements and creates a noticeable 3D effect on the front of the card. By default, this finish is automatically applied to all text boxes and clipart when the option is selected.

This finishing enhances all selected objects regardless of their colour tone, making it ideal for subtle yet impactful accents.

Important Design Tips

We recommend activating the Special finishing before you start designing. When enabled from the beginning, all text and clipart in the editor are automatically assigned the correct special colour (gold, silver, or rose gold).

If you manually change the colour (for example, to white or black), the Special finishing will no longer be applied to that element.

If you add the Special finishing after you have already started your design (via the “Article” menu), be sure to review all existing text boxes and clipart and manually assign the correct special colour in the text editor.
